ITINERARY

DAY 01. TOCUMEN – PANAMA CITY

Welcome to Panama City. Upon arrival, transfer to the city hotel. Explore this beautiful city full of life, excellent gastronomy, great shopping centers or simply enjoy a refreshing drink in this tropical setting. Hotel accommodation in Panama

DAY 02. PANAMA CITY, CITY TOUR, OLD TOWN, CANAL

Breakfast at the hotel. Our driver will be waiting for you so that you can continue with your tour today. This tour begins in Panama City, a place of contrasts. The tour includes a tour of the Modern City, Old Town, Amador Causeway and takes you to the Canal Visitors Center. You will make panoramic tours and short walks in the visited sites.

On the way to the Miraflores Visitor Center at the Panama Canal, he will tell you about the history and operational performance of this wonder in motion. Once there, you can feel part of the operation of the Canal from the observation decks. Continuing our tour, we will make a panoramic view of the Amador Causeway Islands, a landfill that connects four islands of the Bay of Panama and makes you feel inside the sea. The all-in-one view will allow you to see from a single point and at the same time, the modern city, the Old Town, the Bridge of the Americas, the island of Taboga and the ships entering and leaving the Panama Canal.

DAY 03. PANAMA CITY, VISIT TO THE EMBERA QUERA INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY

Breakfast at the hotel. Our driver will be waiting for you and take you on a visit to one of the indigenous communities located in the Chagres National Park. Upon arrival, we will board the famous “pirogues or canoes” which are traditional Emberá boats, carved from wood from a single tree trunk. At the end of the journey we see the village "Emberá Querá" which means Embera Perfume, where our cordial hosts await us.

 

 

 

From this moment, we will enjoy their music, dances, we will learn about their culture, traditions and we will tour the town to visit their usual residences and the "Chaman" or healer of the tribe, will speak to us about the healing power of the plants of the jungle. Arriving at lunch time, we will taste fish (product of the catch of the day), fried green banana and fruits. The Emberá are excellent artisans, detailed and dedicated and if we want to carry the memory on our skin, a natural "tatto" is our option. The indigenous will paint it with a black ink product of the "Jagua", seed of a local palm.

DAY 04. PANAMA CITY – BOCAS DEL TORO

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time we will make the transfer to the Albrook landing strip for your regular air transfer to the Bocas del Toro Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Bocas del Toro. Overnight in Bocas del Toro.

DAYS 05 & 6. BOCAS DEL TORO

Breakfast at the Hotel. Free day to enjoy the beauties of the archipelago, you will have the opportunity to visit beaches with a unique beauty, its crystal clear waters and endless colorful fish await you. Accommodation in Bocas del Toro.

DAY 07. BOCAS DEL TORO – SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN (COSTA RICA / 4 HOURS)

Breakfast at the Hotel. This day we will embark on our adventure to our sister country, Costa Rica, we will take you to the South Caribbean, home of the Afro-Caribbean culture and Puerto Viejo that has an incredible combination of colors and flavors. Accommodation in South Caribbean.

DAY 08. SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN - COSTA RICA

Breakfast at the Hotel. The southern Caribbean, largely influenced by Afro-Caribbean traditions and culture, has one of the best beach areas in the country and other good options such as visiting the Cahuita National Park, diving or snorkeling in coral reefs, admiring the hidden beauties of the marine life etc. Another experience that you should not miss is enjoying a typical Caribbean lunch or dinner. DAY 09. SOUTHER CARIBBEAN – TORTUGUERO (6 HOURS)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Tortuguero National Park on a tour through small towns and extensive banana plantations until reaching the dock where you will board your boat; At this time, the journey by boat through the rivers and canals continues, approximately one hour and a half until reaching the lodge. After lunch, you will visit the town of Tortuguero. Dinner included. Accommodation in Tortuguero.

DAY 10. TORTUGUERO

Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning, guided walk through the hotel's private trails. After lunch, boat tour through the canals of Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero National Park is famous for being the habitat of seven species of turtles, a great diversity of crustaceans and numerous species of freshwater fish. We also recommend the turtle nesting night tour, an optional tour available only in nesting season. Dinner included. Accommodation in Tortuguero.

DAY 11. TORTUGUERO – ARENAL VOLCANO (6 HOURS)

Breakfast at the Hotel. Return departure through the canals to take ground transportation after disembarking at the pier; a stop will be made again in the town of Guápiles to have lunch. Later, you will continue to the Northern Plains where the impressive Arenal Volcano will await you, one of the natural wonders of the country due to its majesty. Along the route and until you reach the town of La Fortuna, you will be able to appreciate various agricultural plantations, ornamental plants and cattle farms.

DAY 12. ARENAL VOLCANO
